Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking an associate in Missouri to assist customers with donated goods and ensure timely, accurate pre-sorting of donations. The role emphasizes safe handling, adherence to policies, and positive public image.

You will greet donors, help unload vehicles, sort donations, and load trailers, while maintaining a clean work area and reporting security concerns. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• No previous experience required.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers, internal and external.
• Assist customers with their donations by greeting donors and helping unload their vehicle without damaging the car.
• Accurately presort donations by category and label donations accordingly.
• Safely load trailers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment for safety.
• Ensure the security of company assets and report security or theft concerns.
• Follow department policies and procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor about donation area and customer issues.
• Adhere to Goodwill dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Exercise sound judgment when interacting with customers.
