Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a full-time associate to assist customers with donated goods and to perform timely, accurate pre-sorting of donations.

You will greet donors, help unload vehicles, presort by category, label items, load trailers, and maintain a clean, safe work area while protecting assets. The role requires no prior experience, but a background check is required and evening/weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination with work experience considered.
• No prior experience required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers, internal and external.
• Assist customers with their donations by greeting donors and helping them unload their vehicle.
• Accurately presort donations by category and label donations accordingly.
• Safely load trailers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe workspace for associates and customers.
• Ensure the security of company assets and report security or theft concerns.
