Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia seeks a part-time associate to assist customers with donated goods and perform timely, accurate pre-sorting of donations.

You will greet donors, help unload vehicles, sort by category, load trailers, keep a safe, organized workspace, and follow security, dress code and policy guidelines; a background check is required. Base pay is $13.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination of education and work experience considered.
• No previous experience required for this role.
• Criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers.
• Assist donors by greeting them and unloading their vehicle without damage.
• Accurately presort donations by category and label accordingly.
• Safely load trailers and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Keep company assets secure and report any security concerns.
• Follow department policies and procedures at all times.
• Communicate with supervisor about problems in the donation area.
• Adhere to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Exercise sound judgment when dealing with customers.
• Operate with safety and efficiency to support Goodwill objectives.
