Job summary

Chartis Federal in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Business Process Analyst/Technical Writer to support the CSO-S/SGS with technical writing, editing, and staff-action process improvements.

The role requires strong editing, knowledge of DoD and Army policy, and the ability to produce SOPs and training materials under tight deadlines. A background in English, Communications, or Journalism helps; active SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical writing, editing, or process documentation in a DoD/federal environment.
• Experience developing SOPs, training materials, and process-improvement docs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Admin/Management/Public Admin/Info Science/English/Comm/Journalism (preferred).
• Familiarity with AR 25-50 and ARNG correspondence standards (preferred).
• Army National Guard or military correspondence experience preferred; active SECRET clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and polish correspondence for grammar, formatting, and compliance with DoD/ARNG policy.
• Manage daily announcements and route new ETS tasks within SGS queue; redistribute tasks as needed.
• Monitor the SGS network for announcements and disseminate via portal and email within set deadlines.
• Research and verify SOPs; attend working groups and draft SOP portions.
• Review training slides and construct Executive Level Writing training materials; deliver training events.
• Maintain and edit the SGS website/SharePoint page; provide editorial support to the Chief of Staff's Office.
