Job summary

ASR International is seeking an experienced Technical Writer/Editor to support JCSE infrastructure and IT operations. The role focuses on developing, editing, and maintaining technical and procedural documentation with accuracy and clarity.

You will work with engineers, asset managers, government stakeholders, and SMEs to produce manuals, SOPs, diagrams, and reports. A DoD background and Secret clearance are preferred, along with strong MS Office skills and a keen eye for quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional technical writing, editing, or documentation experience.
• 2+ years supporting a DoD organization or program.
• Active Secret security clearance; US citizen.
• Experience creating, reviewing, and maintaining technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
• Strong document formatting, grammar, and QA practices.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, format, and maintain technical documents, reports, manuals, and SOPs.
• Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, asset managers, and government stakeholders to document processes.
• Create and maintain operational documentation including procedures, inventories, and change management docs.
• Develop and update network diagrams, rack elevations, and technical references.
