Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an experienced System Administrator to design and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions for a government hosting facility. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in MD and an active clearance.

You will manage VMs, containers, and backups while ensuring DoD security postures are maintained. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience, certification in one OS, and familiarity with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience performing many of the responsibilities listed in this job requisition.
• Experience with evaluating Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance including performing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning.
• A certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes to various physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation to include knowledge base, incident response actions, system configurations, and other information related to system administration.
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance on best practices.
• Secure information systems and applications to current DoD guidance.
• Maintain configuration and security posture through continuous monitoring and security events/reporting.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
