Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop Windows- and Linux-based solutions for a government hosting facility. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with active secret clearance and potential for Top Secret clearance after onboarding.

The ideal candidate will deploy and maintain hardware and virtual infrastructure, perform routine maintenance, manage backups, and ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in similar responsibilities.
• Experience with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning is preferred.
• Windows or Linux operating environment certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facilities.
• Deploy and maintain hardware and virtual infrastructure including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration on physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy software applications.
• Troubleshoot issues and document configurations and actions.
• Support DoD-compliant security posture and continuous monitoring.
