Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an experienced System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD and a Secret clearance with potential to upgrade to Top Secret.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience, RMF/STIG/ACAS familiarity, and an active Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Active Security+ certification preferred.
• Experience with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning.
• Windows or Linux certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers/workstations.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide customer technical support and guidance.
