Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a System Administrator to develop Windows- and Linux-based solutions for a government hosting facility on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret clearance, and a focus on securing DoD information systems.

You will deploy and maintain hardware, VMs and containers, perform routine maintenance, and ensure backups and disaster recovery readiness, while supporting agile planning and DoD compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Security+ certification is preferred and beneficial.
• Experience evaluating RMF compliance with STIG and ACAS scanning.
• A certification in Windows or Linux environments is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting needs.
• Deploy and maintain physical/virtual hardware, VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and config changes on hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers/workstations.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions, deploy software, and troubleshoot issues.
