Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

The role requires an Active Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret, and at least three years of relevant experience. Familiarity with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning is preferred to ensure secure DoD information systems.

Qualifications

• At least three years of related system administration experience.
• Experience with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for DoD hosting environments.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration changes on servers/workstations/IT gear.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers and endpoints.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide technical support and best-practices guidance to customers.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance.
• Maintain security posture via continuous monitoring and events.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-prem infrastructure.
