Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a System Administrator to develop Windows- and Linux-based solutions for a government software hosting facility on-site at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. An ACTIVE Secret clearance is required with potential for Top Secret after employment begins.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware, VMs and containers, backups, security posture, and Agile project participation, with a focus on DoD guidance and secure operations.

Qualifications

• Active Security+ certification or equivalent security credential.
• Experience with RMF, STIG, and ACAS scanning for compliance.
• Certification in Windows or Linux operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions; deploy software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document configurations and responses.
• Ensure DoD guidance-compliant security posture and continuous monitoring.
• Participate in Agile planning and provide on-prem networking support.
