Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a System Administrator to design and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions within a government software hosting facility. This on-site role requires working at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD, with future funding and a Sept 2026 start.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware, VMs, containers, backups, and security per DoD guidance. A Secret clearance is required to start, with potential for Top Secret clearance later.

Qualifications

• Active Security+ or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience evaluating RMF compliance including STIG/ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux operating environments is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting environments.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration on servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy software applications.
• Secure systems per DoD guidance and monitor security events.
