Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an enterprising System Administrator for a government software hosting facility on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role requires active clearance and the ability to obtain a higher clearance after starting.

You will deploy and maintain Windows and Linux systems, manage virtualization and containers, and ensure RMF/STIG/ACAS compliance while supporting disaster recovery, backups, and security monitoring.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE Secret Clearance required; Top Secret possible after start.
• RMF compliance assessment experience (STIG/ACAS) preferred.
• Windows or Linux certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain hardware and virtual infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot hardware and software on servers/workstations.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation (KB, incidents, configurations).
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Secure systems per DoD guidance; monitor security posture.
• Participate in Agile project planning; provide on-site networking support.
