Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Ogden, UT. The role supports accurate order fulfillment and manages inbound customer calls under close supervision. A DoD Skillbridge eligibility is required.

You will respond to inquiries, provide quotes, enter orders, and help maintain inventory levels while building strong customer relationships and coordinating with account reps to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–3 years of related experience.
• Strong reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; active listening.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use business systems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Orders items to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Sourcing products in branch, distribution center, or supplier inventories.
• Determines most cost-effective shipping method for customer orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders; may pull inventory and prepare order for shipment.
• May handle customer returns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
