Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls. The role involves quoting, order entry, and coordinating with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.

Under supervision, you will build relationships, influence pricing within guidelines, and source products to meet inventory needs. Eligibility for DoD Skillbridge is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences Motion Industries' gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands based on competition while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and communicates to drive process improvements.
• Orders items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Sources products from branch inventory, distribution center inventory, or supplier inventory.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and may pull inventory for shipment to customer.
• May handle customer returns.
