Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to perform penetration testing and offensive cybersecurity operations for DoD systems. The role collaborates with Blue Team professionals to enhance overall cyber posture and requires active clearance with government security knowledge.

You'll work on diverse technologies, including Windows/Linux systems, PENTEST tooling, and Azure AD integrations, contributing to secure solutions for defense clients.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in software engineering applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Linux expertise with firm grasp.
• Windows enterprise networking knowledge.
• Proficiency with PENTEST tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.
• Experience in Penetration Testing/Red Team/related programming.
• Familiar with Active Directory, Azure/IdP integrations.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs.
• Develop scripts and GUIs in various languages.
• Recommend software modifications to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Operate and administer UNIX/Linux and Windows systems.
• Identify security flaws in code and assess risks.
• Apply NSA-approved encryption tech and STIGs.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to manuals.
