Job summary

SimVentions in Virginia is seeking an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to conduct penetration testing and offensive cybersecurity operations for DoD systems. You will collaborate with Blue Team and cybersecurity professionals to improve overall cyber posture.

The role requires five years of software engineering related to DoD, strong Linux and Windows knowledge, and hands-on use of Kali, Metasploit, NMAP and Cobalt Strike. Active Secret clearance is required with TS/SCI preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years' software engineering experience applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Linux and Windows with enterprise networking basics.
• Experience with red team operations and pen testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows and Linux logs and events.
• Develop and debug Web apps and scripts using common languages.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in systems.
• Assist in security architecture and DISA STIGs compliance.
