Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to safeguard U.S. Government and DoD systems. You will perform penetration testing and offensive cyber operations, working with Blue Team and Cybersecurity professionals to raise overall cyber posture.

The role requires active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred), US citizenship, and hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and a range of pentest tools.

Qualifications

• Five years' software engineering experience in DoD or IT systems.
• Firm grasp of Linux.
• Foundational Windows knowledge with enterprise networks.
• Extensive experience with pentest tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.
• Experience in Red Team, penetration testing, or related fields such as programming languages and web testing.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux logs.
• Develop and debug software GUIs using multiple languages.
• Recommend fixes to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Operate and administer UNIX/Linux and Windows systems.
• Identify security flaws in source code and networks.
• Apply NSA STIGs and encryption technologies.
• Apply virtual hosting and deception concepts.
• Participate in code reviews and static analysis.
• Contribute to SSAOM documentation.
