Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Horn Lake, MS is hiring a Yard and Dock Lead for 1st shift.

You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for all dock activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of trailers in and out of the facility while partnering with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams. This hands-on leadership role requires strong communication, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution or dock operations.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong adherence to defined processes, safety standards and escalation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment as required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities and coordinate trailer movements.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release and yard flow with safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe conditions; collaborate with site operations, transportation and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders and maintain a customer-service mindset.
• Ensure dock activities align with guidelines and 7S standards and complete tasks to resolution.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and peers as needed.
