Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Yard and Dock Coordinator in Lincoln, NE. You will lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and ensure safe, efficient operations across operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams.

The role requires experience in warehouse or dock environments, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A focus on safety, process adherence, and 7S alignment is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Proven ability to follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication skills with daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Comfort using Office 365 and Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support hand tools and dock-related equipment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow with safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe conditions.
• Partner daily with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customers.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and site SWIs.
• Support dock/yard organization following 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections and identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and leads.
