You will manage scheduling, safety compliance, paperwork, and communication with customers while meeting KPI targets and controlling costs. This role requires a 50-hour work week and flexibility for nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry and paperwork flow.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Knowledgable of local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, mentoring and termination.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees, set targets, monitor performance and provide coaching.
• Administer schedules to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Oversee equipment assignment and movement in collaboration with others.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax or email.
• Ensure all dock paperwork is handled timely and correctly.
• Meet all KPI targets and comply with policies and safety rules.
