Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Miami, FL is seeking a Dock Supervisor to report to the Operations Manager and lead dock staff, scheduling, and KPI achievement for an efficient LTL operation.

You will enforce policies and government regulations, participate in hiring decisions, coordinate equipment movement, and communicate with customers by phone, fax, or email. A high school diploma and leadership experience are required; 50-hour weeks may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in LTL trucking or logistics operations is preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work 50 hours per week and diverse shifts.
• Ability to read and interpret written procedures and safety rules.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees and direct scheduling and performance.
• Enforce safety policies and government regulations.
• Participate in hiring and termination recommendations.
• Administer service center business plan components.
• Meet all KPIs and manage paperwork timely.
• Coordinate equipment movement with supervisors.
• Communicate with customers by phone, fax, or email.
• Maintain attendance and readiness for all shifts.
