Job summary

Bruegger’s Bagels in New Haven, CT is seeking a District Shift Leader to participate in a General Manager development plan and be the next GM in the market. You will lead day-to-day bakery operations, support other locations as needed, and start as early as 3am to kick off baking and service.

You will mentor teams, manage store standards, and gain exposure to P&L, food cost, labor targets, and recruiting, with a clear path to permanent GM promotion when available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and possess a current, valid driver’s license.
• Must complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan, if a valid certification is not already in possession.

Responsibilities

• District Shift Leaders perform management duties at a home location and are expected to support other bakeries in the market as needed.
• Traveling provides the opportunity to gain further independence and learn from additional leaders in the area.
• You will be the next General Manager in the organization and lead to that standard in the absence of the General Manager.
• Shifts begin as early as 3am for the first bake and store opening duties; lead by example and coach the teams.
• You will learn P&L analysis, food cost and labor targets, scheduling, and recruiting quality team members.
