Job summary

Bruegger's Bagels in Hartford, CT is seeking a District Shift Leader who will participate in a General Manager development plan. You will lead at a home location and support other bakeries in the market, with travel to gain experience and prepare for a GM role.

Expect early shifts starting as 3am, coaching teams, ensuring high-quality food, and maintaining a safe, clean store. The development plan covers inventory, vendor orders, cash management, and P&L basics to prepare you for GM duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and possess a current, valid driver's license.
• Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by end of GM development plan if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Lead management duties at a home location and support other bakeries in the market.
• Travel to other locations for development and learning from area leaders.
• Provide coaching and training to teams and ensure high-quality food and beverage service.
• Learn restaurant admin duties such as inventory, vendor orders, and cash management; prepare for GM duties.
• Shift starts as early as 3am to oversee opening and bake operations.
