Job summary

Mazda North American Operations is seeking a District Service Manager to serve as the primary liaison with Mazda dealers within the assigned territory, enhancing the Mazda customer experience, growing revenue and profit, and increasing service retention and repurchase loyalty in line with Mazda BVM philosophies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, automotive technology, marketing, or related discipline preferred (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum of 4+ years’ experience, with a proven track record of success
• 2+ years experience in a sales related capacity; previous wholesale automotive experience preferred
• 4+ years overall work experience
• 3+ years in a demonstrated Leadership role
• Valid Driver's License for state of residence (required)
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong business acumen in dealership operations
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with dealers, staff and senior management
• Computer knowledge including spreadsheet and internet applications

Responsibilities

• Develop effective relationships with assigned Mazda dealers and with Mazda colleagues to advance dealer service and parts operations
• Develop and assist in the execution of action plans to improve customer experience, service retention, and dealer profitability
• Perform profitability analysis, reviews, and consultation with dealership management
• Review reports, scores, trends, and customer comments to identify gaps and recommend best practices
• Make recommendations and provide consultation to dealers to drive increased service traffic and wholesale parts and accessory business
• Assist in the development and execution of marketing messages across multiple platforms
• Support and implement national and regional service and parts marketing plans and initiatives
• Achieve assigned parts sales objectives
• Review available reports and results regularly prior to dealer visits
• Assist dealer in being compliant with Mazda policies
• Direct dealers to resources for resolution of concerns
• Documentation of Contacts using Dealer Business Contact System
