This role will focus on:
This role sells into the industrial market through channel partners in the Southeast. The Southeast region consists of: NC, SC, VA, TN, AR, MS, and FL. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced territory manager. This role is ultimately responsible for growing our industrial sales through channel partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills and a passion for driving sales growth through new customer development. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with our channel partners, and ensuring partner performance aligns with company goals and targets.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Develop, manage, and nurture relationships with existing and new channel partners.
  2. Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and growth in accordance with core values.
  3. Establish and bring accountability and intentionality around KPIs for each channel partner.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for indirect sales partners.
  5. Identify and recruit new partners to expand the channel network.
  6. Develop and maintain suitable pipeline to meet territory sales goals and bring visibility of large opportunities through CRM.
  7. Provide product/application/competition training to channel partners sales and support staff.
  8. Internal collaboration on key accounts and cross territory projects.
  9. Collaborate with Regional Business Development and Marketing.
  10. Represent WM, Inc. at trade shows and conferences.
  11. Provide market intelligence, competitor and industry trends to upper management to contribute to accurate reporting and forecasting.
  12. Foster strong, long-term relationships with key partners to drive continued success and loyalty.
  13. Continual evaluation of channel partner performance.
  14. Perform quarterly reviews of sales force reviewing goals & objectives.
  15. Utilize CRM for all facets of territory management to ensure accurate forecasting.
  16. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  1. Successful candidate will live within the territory.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, with at least 3 years of channel partner sales management.
  3. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders.
  4. Experience selling equipment into the industrial market.
  5. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  6. Exceptional oral and written communication skills required to communicate with internal and external contacts.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills and high professionalism.
  8. Strong time management skills.
  9. Analytical mindset with experience using CRM and sales performance tools.
  10. Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft 365 programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
