Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, dedicated to exterior building products across North America, seeks an outside District Sales Manager to drive growth and retention in assigned territories. You will report to the Director of Sales and manage profitable regional expansion.

The role requires strong communication, market analysis, and the ability to travel 50–70% with a focus on building material solutions and premium customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of proven sales/marketing or sales management experience.
• Preferred building materials experiences in pre-engineered metal buildings, pole barns, or metal roof/wall systems.
• Strong understanding of Drafting, Estimating and Inside Sales functions.
• Ability to comprehend and translate architectural plans and specifications.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with detail orientation and organization.
• Ability to analyze market conditions and competition to optimize strategic responses.
• Must coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Travel 50–70% in the assigned market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement market plans with customer analysis, competitive insights, and revenue goals.
• Understand key customers’ business metrics and drivers.
• Communicate features and benefits of Retail Direct products to customers.
• Identify and pursue customer leads and understand customer needs.
• Educate customers, interpret requirements, and develop project specs.
• Generate project estimates and sales of pre-engineered buildings, pole barns, and metal systems.
• Ensure pricing adherence and policy compliance.
• Be the customer contact and maintain positive relationships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to optimize the customer experience.
• Serve as liaison between customer and company over issues and desires.
• Analyze and report competitive market information.
• Provide customer-focused activities and services.
• Other duties as assigned.
