Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to serve patients by delivering clinical knowledge of our biologics to medical professionals across Brooklyn, Jamaica, Flushing, Hempstead, and Hicksville. You will lead district teams, recruit talent, and collaborate with marketing, finance, and other units while driving sales targets.

We look for a candidate with 2+ years of sales/marketing and 2 years of managerial leadership, plus a Doctorate/Master/Bachelor/Associate/HS path as outlined in the job

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Master’s degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• AND 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals
• Lead district teams to maximize performance and achieve sales targets
• Screen, interview, and hire district staff and manage budgets
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and other units
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to meet objectives
• Conduct district sales meetings and share best practices
