Job summary

Jackson Hewitt seeks a District Manager to lead a 20-30 location district, driving operating excellence and delivering outstanding client service. You will own financial results, growth strategy, and people development across multiple stores while upholding brand standards.

You will recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing team, implement marketing initiatives, ensure safety compliance, and partner with HR to resolve employee relations matters.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in retail management preferred.
• A passion for mentoring and developing others is a must for the District Manager.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and engage a team and to drive client service and operational excellence.
• Must be able to hold an Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN).
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and solid planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage local P&L, recruiting, staffing, scheduling, store setup and operations.
• Implement marketing initiatives and safeguard assets, clients and employees through safety standards.
• Build a high performing team through recruitment, guidance, training and development.
• Create retention strategies and development plans to maintain top associates.
• Act as coach and mentor to store leadership, providing feedback to improve performance.
• Foster an environment where associates share views and aim for excellence; empower others.
• Develop the Assistant District Manager and partner to drive sales and client service; supervise support staff.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and the P&L; identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce expenses.
• Ensure execution of company branding and operational standards; coordinate work schedules and timecards.
