Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking a District Manager to lead a multi-store team, manage the local P&L, and drive service excellence. You will recruit, train, and coach staff, implement marketing initiatives, and partner with HR on employee relations. Strong leadership and client focus are essential for success in this role.

The position requires 3–5 years in retail management, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and the ability to travel within the district. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in retail management preferred.
• A passion for mentoring and developing others is a must for the District Manager.
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and engage a team, create a culture of exceptional client service and operational excellence.
• Must be able to hold an Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN).
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), planning and organizational skills, and understanding of retail financials are expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage local P&L, recruiting, staffing, scheduling, store set-up, operations and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure safety and compliance of assets, clients, and employees through regular store visits and training.
• Build a high-performing team through recruitment, guidance, training, and development.
• Develop retention strategies and nurture talent for internal mobility.
• Coach store leadership and provide performance feedback and development plans.
• Set high standards and empower others to excel; foster a receptive team environment.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and district-level financial targets and cash control.
