Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an Enterprise Technician to join the Technology & Innovation team in Round Lake, IL. The role supports district technology operations, coordinates processes, purchases, inventory, and large deployments.

You will ensure equipment is properly ordered, received, documented, configured, deployed, maintained, reconciled, and retired across its lifecycle. The position collaborates with Finance, Special Education, technology staff, district leadership, and vendors to keep records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelors in a technology related field preferred.
• One (1) year of experience in information technology or educational technology support is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in technology support, IT management, or mobile device management preferred (e.g. CompTIA A+, Jamf Certifications).
• Training or experience related to inventory management, asset management, purchasing systems, or enterprise service-management platforms is preferred.
• Certifications or badges related to educational or instructional technology are a plus (e.g. Edpuzzle, Nearpod, Seesaw).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to District Departments by responding to service tickets, calls, emails, and in-person requests for assistance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, mobile-device, network-access, and enterprise-system issues, escalating complex problems as appropriate.
• Manage assigned support tickets by documenting work performed, communicating status updates, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation in accordance with established service expectations.
• Install, configure, deploy, maintain, and support computing devices, applications, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other technology equipment used by District Departments.
• Coordinate the intake and triage of technology requests, equipment needs, deliveries, returns, repairs, and other work assigned to the Enterprise Technology team.
• Create, process, submit, and track technology purchase orders, including maintaining required quotes, requisitions, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Receive and inspect incoming technology shipments and verify equipment, quantities, serial numbers, and condition against purchase orders and packing documentation.
