Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Technical Specialist - Class B to coordinate technology resources for Special Education programs. You will plan, implement, and support hardware, software, and policies to meet student needs, and help ensure district-wide compliance with due process requirements.

The role involves equipment orders, software installs, staff training, and collaboration with district technology teams to enable effective teaching with assistive tech tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to see problems through to resolution.
• Excellent oral and written communication with end users at all levels.
• Ability to travel between school district buildings on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and availability of technology resources for Special Education programs.
• Order equipment and software and maintain inventory.
• Install and configure software, deploy assistive technology tools.
• Provide technical support to staff district-wide for Due Process compliance.
• Maintain software licenses and assist in staff training and in-service planning.
