Qualifications

Minimum associate degree in technology or computer field.
Experience in a similar role, preferably in a public school district.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update district hardware and software standards.
Update technology standards with staff based on instructional practices.
Prepare proposals and solicit bids for system technology needs; manage vendors.
Analyze information to plan layout for computers and equipment upgrades.
Remain current on developments in software, hardware, networks, and maintenance.
Provide professional development opportunities for staff to keep pace with technology changes.
Draft applications and proposals for government and educational foundations.
Be a member of the district technology committee.
Develop, manage, and evaluate the technology budget.
Coordinate with curriculum director on a five-year technology plan.
