Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer to join a project team focused on electric utility distribution design in a hybrid work setup. You will prepare sketches, perform analyses, and develop work packages for both overhead and underground projects, with emphasis on safety and standards compliance.

Qualifications

• A BS or MS degree from an engineering program.
• 1+ years of experience with electric utility distribution or relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in physical distribution design methods and their application.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD).
• Experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 34kV).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead and underground network services (4 KV through 34 KV).
• Analyze and design priority feeds; support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Plan modifications to the system and design complex tasks.
• Develop work packages and provide as-builts at project completion.
