Job summary

The Home Depot in the DC area is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly team and influence the distribution group toward safe, efficient, and productive operations. You will hire, evaluate, develop, and discipline hourly associates, with direct supervision of 20 to 30 team members.

Responsibilities include ensuring process adherence, coaching staff for productivity and safety, maintaining inventory accuracy, and planning staffing to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED acceptable for minimum education.
• Experience supervising hourly staff and managing processes.
• Proven ability to hire, coach and develop associates.
• Familiarity with WMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead 20–30 hourly associates and manage daily distribution center tasks.
• Ensure procedures are followed; implement process improvements.
• Coach, train and evaluate staff; manage hiring and discipline.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and key performance metrics.
• Coordinate operations with the manager to meet business plans.
