Job description

Transdev in St. Paul, MN is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with operators and provides customer support to clients. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Benefits

Competitive compensation package of minimum $20.75/hour to maximum $25.75/hour

  • Vacation: up to 14 days per year
  • Paid sick leave: 8 hrs monthly full‑time employees / 5 hrs monthly part‑time employees

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, ensuring routes begin on time, and monitoring incidents.
  • Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding trips, including no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
  • Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators and act as liaison between carriers and emergency services.
  • Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
  • 3‑5 years of dispatching experience.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Employee is generally subjected to long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
