Job summary

Transdev North America in Oakland, CA is seeking a Dispatchers who will oversee road service through communication with Operators and provide customer support to clients. The role emphasizes safety and a customer service mindset, with on-site leadership responsibilities.

The position is non-CBA, full-time, with a competitive hourly pay and standard benefits. DOT drug testing may be required, and eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience dispatching.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with execution of daily operations plans that align with client specifications and priorities.
  • Provide leadership, training, and oversight for on-site workforce to ensure daily operational goals are met.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive operational and personnel matters.
  • Assist in team briefings and focused discussions, keeping employees informed of updates and expectations.
  • Support the leadership team with managing daily tasks, including mission assignments, meetings, and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on data-driven decision-making to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Transdev in Oakland, CA is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Non-CBA Position

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $24.50 per hour – Maximum $ 25.56 per hour

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
