Job summary

Oldcastle APG in North Carolina is seeking a Customer Service / Dispatch specialist to coordinate and schedule all customer deliveries, managing company trucks and outside haulers.

The role requires coordinating with sales, shipping, receiving, customers and the logistics operations to ensure on-time deliveries. Familiarity with NC/SC DOT regulations and routing tools helps in planning routes and time estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school/GED required.
• Experience in dispatch or transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of routing and scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, and other means.
• Prepare a shipping schedule that tracks outgoing and incoming shipments.
• Coordinate with trucking fleet and outside haulers to meet delivery times and requirements.
• Communicate with customers and drivers to dispatch orders promptly and accurately.
• Know the delivery area to assist with route and travel-time planning.
• Build rapport with team members, drivers, vendors, sales, operations, and customers.
