Job summary

Healthfleet Ambulance is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the Communications Department, ensuring crews depart on time and assignments are coordinated to support transport operations.

The role is non-exempt and hourly, with responsibilities including training, liaison with dispatch, QA, and equipment management. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and dispatch systems skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations or dispatch within a similar industry.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations.
• Proficient in using dispatch software and equipment tracking systems.
• Schedule must be flexible; nights, weekends, and holidays will be required to ensure minimum coverage.
• Schedule is from 11:00 am to 1900 Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Oversee Communications Department and ensure crews depart on time.
• Coordinate crew assignments and update runs.
• Maintain communication with dispatch to support operations.
• Oversee trip verification, monitor fuel levels and safety via Samsara.
• Address customer and employee concerns promptly.
• Identify and report transport issues to management for swift resolution.
• Track and manage equipment using UEM/Samsara, ensuring charging and base readiness.
• Review daily crew and dispatch schedules and adjust to meet coverage requirements.
• Check emails and act as CSR/Dispatcher when needed.
• Ensure minimum coverage for all shifts.
• Coordinate with hospital coordinators to optimize day-to-day operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Maintain documentation on crew departures, vehicle assignments, schedule changes, and equipment distribution.
