Health Fleet Ambulance Inc. in the Fort Washington area seeks a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the Communications Department, ensure crews depart on time, coordinate assignments, and update runs for accurate transport service delivery.

This non-exempt, hourly role requires strong critical thinking, organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with dispatch software and equipment tracking systems; schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations or dispatch within a similar industry.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations.
• Proficient in using dispatch software and equipment tracking systems.
• Flexible schedule; nights, weekends and holidays required.
• Schedule is from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Crew management: Ensure timely departure of all crew members and distribute phones, keys, tablets, and fuel cards.
• Training: Provide necessary training to new and existing staff as required.
• Dispatch liaison: Collaborate with dispatch to maintain accurate timestamps and positioning.
• Quality assurance: Oversee trip verification, monitor fuel levels and safety via Samsara.
• Customer service: Address initial customer and employee concerns promptly and effectively.
• Issue resolution: Identify and report transport issues to management for swift resolution.
• Equipment management: Use UEM/Samsara to track and manage equipment, ensuring charging at base.
• Schedule: Review and adjust daily crew and dispatch schedules to meet coverage; verify checklists.
• Communication: Check emails regularly and act as CSR/Dispatcher when needed.
• Minimum coverage: Ensure staffing meets required coverage for each shift.
• Planning: Adjust trip schedules and coordinate with hospital coordinators.
• Additional duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate docs on crew departures, vehicle assignments, and changes.
