Job summary

EY’s Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services helps clients recover funds after disasters, offering grants management, compliance, and insurance claims services. The role supports government and public sector clients with disaster recovery funding programs, including FEMA and HUD grants, and requires travel to client sites and in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 1+ years of related compliance, audit, or financial management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Effective project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide government and public sector clients with services related to management and compliance of disaster recovery funding (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR).
• Assist with large grant projects for states and local governments.
• Interact with local governments to support project development; analyze large volumes of information; verify compliance and programmatic requirements.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence will be required.
