Job summary

EY’s Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services helps clients recover after disasters by delivering grants management, compliance, and insurance claims support for both public and private sectors.

You will work with engagement teams on government and public sector projects, managing grants and verifying compliance while traveling to client sites and maintaining on-site client presence as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, law, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 1+ years of related compliance, audit, or financial management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Effective project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients a variety of services related to the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding made available through complex grant and stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR).
• Assist with large grant projects for states and local governments, interact with local governments to support project development, organize and analyze large volumes of information, and verify numerous aspects of compliance including transaction testing and programmatic requirements.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence, will be required.
