Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs nationwide. You will develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work, evaluating damage, scopes, and costs with document-ready results.

This on-call, as-needed role may be remote, field-based, or hybrid based on client needs. Embedding in a multidisciplinary team, you will support project management, field inspections,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure/facility projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scopes.
• Ability to travel and work independently in changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA PA and other disaster recovery programs with scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Review damaged facilities, understand damages, and outline construction requirements.
• Prepare and validate cost estimates for various project types.
• Develop documentation for audits and program reviews.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain project records.
