Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs. You will develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, evaluating damaged facilities and validating project scopes.

This on-call, as-needed cadre position may involve remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments across the United States.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in construction estimating or related discipline.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, facility assessments, and project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Perform project scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and general conditions estimates.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other public infrastructure.
• Review engineering reports and contractor cost documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support project teams with cost validation, reasonableness determinations, and documentation reviews.
