Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery projects. You will develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, analyze project scopes, and prepare documentation for funding eligibility.

This on-call role offers remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments across the United States, with travel as needed and collaboration with engineers, architects, and program staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related fields.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, project scope development, and inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs through cost estimating activities.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and bottom-up cost estimates for projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and cost documentation for accuracy.
• Develop and validate project scopes and cost analyses for funding eligibility.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff.
