Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Director of Business Development to join the Strategic Customer Engagement team within NGMS. You will serve as the US Air Force account manager, coordinating end-to-end relationship management and cross-functional collaboration to drive growth.

The role requires a DoD/USAF acquisition background, outstanding executive briefing skills, and the ability to lead large teams across multiple locations with up to 50% travel. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in defense-sector business development or related military experience.
• 5+ years leading large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver win-focused outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of DoD/USAF acquisition processes and executive briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the US Air Force account as the primary sector BD lead; meet growth objectives and pipeline health.
• Lead full account lifecycle from shaping and solution scoping through proposal, award, and post‑award stewardship.
• Integrate NGMS divisions and capture teams to present a unified value proposition to USAF.
• Prepare senior executives with precise briefs, call plans, talking points, and readouts.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement plans and align with corporate government relations strategies.
