Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group to lead large-scale design-build and P3 programs. The role focuses on pursuing and delivering complex transportation infrastructure with a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

You will drive policy-aligned project approvals, manage cross-functional teams, and build client relationships across public agencies and private entities. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams
• Ability to cooperatively work with directors and managers
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects
• Drive approval of Alternative Delivery projects per HDR policies and risk committees
• Coordinate with HDR Business Group directors on policy, resources, and contracts
• Work with HDR Legal on contract terms and risk committee input
• Collaborate with Transportation Leadership on client discussions for AD projects
• Lead HDR matrix collaboration across Areas, Regions, and Market Sectors
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in AD
• Engage with HDR teams to maximize matrix strengths
• Manage Regional Leads and Resource Manager for AD projects
• Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts with engineering/construction entities
• Foster industry relationships to raise HDR visibility in AD markets
• Pursue continuous improvement of methods and best practices
• Report on Transportation Leadership AD status
• Review or approve MOA actions for AD projects
• Possible role as Principal-in-Charge for selected projects
