Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced Alternative Delivery Director-Transportation Business Group to lead large-scale design-build and P3 initiatives.

You will drive project approvals, collaborate across HDR’s matrix, and guide multi-disciplinary teams through complex transportation infrastructure programs. Preferred candidates bring 15+ years in major transportation projects, client relationship experience, and a strong grasp of HDR operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in engineering or architecture related field.
• Proven experience leading large, complex transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of HDR’s matrix organization and collaboration needs.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drove approvals and ensured compliance with HDR policies and risk committees.
• Coordinate with HDR leaders on policy, staff resources, and contract terms.
• Negotiate terms with legal, risk input, and client representatives for AD projects.
• Lead collaborations across leadership to discuss upcoming AD projects with clients.
• Chair Transportation Leadership calls to align contractor/developer relationships.
• Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in Alternative Delivery.
• Work with Area Business Groups to negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts.
• Foster industry relationships to raise HDR’s visibility in AD markets.
