Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group to lead pursuit and delivery of major design-build and P3 projects.

You will steer strategy, align with HDR Policy, manage risk, and ensure contractual compliance across complex programs. Responsibilities include coordinating with Area Leaders, negotiating teaming agreements, and representing HDR with clients and industry groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional Engineering registration (PE) preferred for leadership roles overseeing technical design.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approval processes in compliance with HDR policies and risk frameworks.
• Collaborate with HDR Business Group leaders, legal, and risk teams on contract terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with Transportation Business Group leadership and regional leads on client discussions and contractor relationships.
• Lead and participate in industry associations to elevate HDR visibility in AD markets.
• Provide guidance to area leads and resource managers to support AD project approvals and execution.
• Negotiate teaming agreements and design service contracts with engineering/construction partners.
• Engage in ongoing improvement of methods and practices to sustain HDR’s competitive edge.
