Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Director of Operations Training to lead strategy, governance, and execution of technical training across our data facilities. You will own mandatory training for the Facility Operations team, including qualification cards, LOTO, CPR, and related programs, and drive continuous improvement across the AMER fleet.

You will build and lead a team of training professionals, set priorities, establish standards, and ensure accountability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in technical training, critical operations, operational excellence or related functions.
• 5+ years leading technical teams, including developing talent and setting functional priorities.
• 5+ years experience with HVAC and critical electrical systems and BMS/EPMS applications.
• Experience with power distribution systems in data center environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of large-scale continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.
• Ability to influence senior Operations leaders across a geographically dispersed organization.
• Proven track record of building high performing teams and scalable programs.
• Strong project planning, time management and change management across multiple groups.
• Ability to read and generate technical documents, schematics, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical training strategy and direct development, implementation and ongoing effectiveness of training programs across Operations.
• Own governance of the technician qualification program, including standards, content, implementation and ongoing effectiveness.
• Establish LMS governance and ensure the system supports Operations training, qualification, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Establish performance measures and reporting across USA sites, identify gaps and drive corrective actions with Operations leadership.
• Lead fleet-wide emergency preparedness drill program and establish standards for execution and improvement.
• Translate incident findings and lessons learned into fleet-wide training, standards and improvements.
• Own the operational site audit program, establish evaluation standards, identify trends and drive adoption of best practices.
• Ensure governance and accountability to keep Operations training compliant with regulatory, legal, and company requirements.
